Polisario Front calls on Security Council to reopen talks

New York, June 3, 2018 (SPS) - The Polisario Front called Saturday the Security Council, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and his personal envoy Horst Kohler to “organize direct negotiations between the parties of the Sahrawi conflict, Morocco and Western Sahara, as soon as possible and in accordance with the last resolution 2414,” reiterating “its full willingness to start direct talks, without prerequisites, with Rabat that would enable the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination.”

Pretoria (South Africa), June 3, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has arrived in the Republic of South Africa at the start of a working visit that lasts several days.
The President of the Republic will meet with his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, several parties, and representatives of civil society, according to the program of the visit.

We Want Western Sahara Independent - Geingob

President Hage Geingob has called on the international community to compel Morocco to implement a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for Western Sahara's independence.
Geingob made the call at State House yesterday during the official visit of the president of Western Sahara, Brahim Ghali, to Namibia. Ghali's three-day state visit will focus on enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Windhoek – “Why isn’t Morocco fulfilling its obligation to the United Nations (UN) Security Council for the self-determination of Western Sahara?  Why are economic sanctions not being imposed on Morocco? Maseru (Lesotho), May 30, 2018 (SPS) - The Saharawi President, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, has arrived to the capital of Maseru Ozoto on a three-day working visit.
The President was received at the Moshoeshoe I International Airport by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Muniani Mueliki as well as several ministers of the ruling coalition and other personalities.

European Parliament to stand against any decision contrary to international legality

Milano, May 28, 2018 (SPS) - Vice President of the European Parliament Fabio Massimo Castaldo affirmed that the European Parliament will stand against any decision contrary to international legality, which would allow EU countries exploit the resources of Western Sahara, still occupied by Morocco, and called European governments to comply the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) declaring the EU-Morocco fisheries agreement not applicable to the territory of Western Sahara and its adjacent waters.
