Minister of Social Affairs and Women's Empowerment received by her Algerian Counterpart

Algiers, November 15, 2024 (SPS) - The Algerian Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women's Issues, Kawthar Kriko, has received her Sahrawi counterpart, Suilema Berouk, Minister of Social Affairs and Women's Empowerment.

The meeting addressed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop cooperation between the Sahrawi and Algerian ministries in various fields related to women's issues and their advancement.

Two Swedish activists resume their solidarity bicycle journey from Algiers to refugee camps

Algiers, 15 November 2024 (SPS) - Two Swedish activists supporting the Sahrawi cause, Benjamin Ladraa and Sanna Ghotbi, resumed their long bicycle journey on Friday, starting from the Riadh El-Feth esplanade in Algiers, heading towards the Sahrawi refugee camps to express their solidarity with the Sahrawi people and Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa.

Sahrawi government condemns killing of Sahrawi citizen by Moroccan occupation forces

Shaheed Al-Hafid, November 12, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi government expressed its condemnation of the Moroccan occupation authorities' killing  of Sahrawi citizen Omar Bhia Hassan.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad, the Sahrawi government affirmed that the systematic continuation of the Moroccan occupation’s crimes against Sahrawi civilians in the occupied part of Western Sahara constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
