International Association of Friends of Algerian Revolution reaffirms right of Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence

Algiers, December 22, 2024 (SPS) - The International Association of Friends of the Algerian Revolution reaffirmed the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence during its second session held at the Aurassi Hotel in Algiers.

Mr. Nourredine Joudi, President of the International Association of Friends of the Algerian Revolution, stated that the Association, based on the principles of the November Revolution, will remain committed to supporting the rights of peoples, particularly the Sahrawi and Palestinian causes.

Swedish activists supporting Sahrawi cause arrive in Tindouf

Tindouf (Algeria), December 22, 2024 (SPS) - Swedish activists Benjamin Ladria and Sana Qatbi, who support the Sahrawi cause, arrived last night in Tindouf as part of their solidarity journey with the Sahrawi people by bicycle.

They were welcomed at the entrance of Tindouf by civil society organizations, citizens, and a group of youth.

French city of Meru hosts an intellectual conference on European Court of Justice ruling

The conference was organized by the Sahrawi Youth Association in France in collaboration with the Ahmed Baba Miska Research Center, with the presence of representatives from the communities in France and a significant number of youth and activists.

President Brahim Ghali chairs closed meeting of General Staff of Army

The meeting, held at the Ministry of National Defense, discussed the annual program for the National Defense Ministry for 2024-2025.

Saharawi activist dies due to consequences of torture she endured at hands of Moroccan regime's executioners

Shaheed El Hafed, 21 December 2024 (SPS) - Saharawi activist Aeika SidAhmed Alaalam passed away yesterday, Friday, due to the consequences of the torture she endured at the hands of the Moroccan regime's executioners during her years of detention.

The Saharawi National Commission for Human Rights (CNSDH) issued a statement expressing condolences for the loss of the activist, who was held and disappeared in Moroccan prisons for years.

SPLA units target Moroccan occupation forces bases in Mahbes sector

A military statement issued by the Central Directorate for Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army indicated that advanced SPLA units carried out concentrated strikes today, Friday, targeting Moroccan enemy bases in the Umhibis area of the Mahbes sector.

Zimbabwe's foreign minister reaffirms his country's unconditional support for Sahrawi people's right to self-determination

Shaheed El-Hafed, December 20, 2024 (SPS) - Mr. Amon Murwira, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, has reiterated Zimbabwe's unconditional support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence.

This statement was made in a response letter to the congratulations sent to him by Mr. Mohamed Sidati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and a member of the National Secretariat, on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe.
