On the eve of the Security Council Session, President of the Republic Sends a Letter to the UN Secretary-General

Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), 15 October 2024 (SPS) - President of the Sahrawi Republic and Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr Brahim Ghali, addressed today a letter to the UN Secretary-General, Mr António Guterres, containing the position of the Sahrawi party on some elements contained in the Secretary-General’s report on the situation concerning Western Sahara.

CJEU ruling supports truth about Western Sahara

Wilaya of El Aaiun (Refugee Camps), 14 October 2024 (SPS) - The president of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario, Brahim Ghali, said the latest ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) had supported the truths about Western Sahara, stating that "Morocco has no sovereignty over the territory, which are two separate and distinct countries."

The President of the Republic dubbed the European court's decision "historic" and a "great victory for Western Sahara people and for law, justice and legality."

SPLA targets command post of Moroccan occupier in Mahbes Sector

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 14 October 2024 (SPS) – Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted a command post of the Moroccan occupier in the Mahbès sector, the Central Directorate of the Sahrawi Army’s Political Commissariat said on Sunday.

A command post of a hostile battalion belonging to the Moroccan army was bombed on Sunday morning in the Laakad region in the Mahbès sector.

Attacks by the APLS continue against the positions of the Moroccan occupying forces, causing heavy human and material losses.

President Brahim Ghali congratulates new Ethiopian President

Shaheed El Hafed, October 14, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente Polisario, Mr. Brahim Ghali, sent a congratulatory message on behalf of the Sahrawi Republic, its people, and government, as well as on his own behalf, to the newly elected President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E.Taye Atske Selassie.

In his message, President Brahim Ghali expressed his wishes for the Ethiopian President's success and fulfillment in his noble duties, as well as for the Ethiopian people’s prosperity and well-being.

Ugandan Solidarity Association Welcomes European Court of Justice Ruling on Western Sahara

Kampala (Uganda) 14 October 2024 (SPS) – The Ugandan Solidarity Association with Western Sahara warmly welcomed the ruling by the European Court of Justice, which annulled the trade agreements between the European Union and Morocco concerning Western Sahara due to their violation of the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and their rejection by the Sahrawi people and its legitimate representative, the Polisario Front.

International Forum for Education and Vocational Training affirms solidarity and support for Sahrawi people

Boujdour (refugee camps) October 13, 2024 (SPS) - The International Forum for Education and Vocational Training was opened on Saturday evening in the wilaya of Boujdour, Sahrawi refugee camps,  in the presence of Prime Minister Mr. Bouchraya Beyoun and members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front and the government and foreign delegations, in addition to executives from the educational and pedagogical system.

Brazilian Trade Union Federations expresses solidarity with Sahrawi people's struggle to complete their national sovereignty

Brazil, October 13, 2024 (SPS)- The Brazilian Trade Union Federations (CTB) expressed its full solidarity with the Sahrawi people in their historic and just struggle to complete their sovereignty over their entire national territory.

The trade union group also expressed its satisfaction with the important victory achieved by the Sahrawi people and the ruling issued in favor of the Polisario Front by the European Court of Justice to annul trade and fishing agreements between the European Union and Morocco.

Portuguese Lawmakers Question the Government Regarding Ships Loaded with Plundered Products from Western Sahara

Lisbon (Portugal), October 11, 2024 (SPS) – Concerns over potential violations of European Union laws and regulations have prompted a formal request for investigation by the Left Bloc in the Portuguese Parliament. 

On October 8, deputies Marisa Matias and Fabian Figueiredo submitted questions to the Portuguese government regarding two ships flying the Moroccan flag, "Avila 2" and "Argan 2," which were carrying plundered marine products from occupied Western Sahara to Portugal.

Amnesty Italy hosts Human Rights and cultural event on Western Sahara's struggle, marking Gdeim Izik Camp anniversary

Germany accepts European Court of Justice ruling on illegality of trade agreements with Morocco

Berlin, 10 October 2024 (SPS) - Spokesperson of the German Federal Office for the Middle East and North Africa, Ms. Annika Clasen-Edris, announced that her country accepts the ruling of the European Court of Justice, which invalidates the trade agreements between the European Union and Morocco concerning resources exploited in occupied Sahrawi territories.
