The organizations added in a statement that the European Union must respect the rulings of its own court and recognize that Western Sahara is not part of Morocco, and that Western Sahara should not be included in the negotiations between the European Union and Morocco.

EU Court ruling: Morocco has no sovereignty over Western Sahara and EU-Morocco Agreements involving the Territory are invalid

Luxembourg (EU Court) 4 October 2024 (SPS)– In a landmark decision delivered this morning, the European Court of Justice (CJEU) has reaffirmed that Morocco has no sovereignty over Western Sahara and that the occupied territory cannot be included in any EU-Morocco trade or fisheries agreements. The ruling, read out by the President of the Court at 09:55 on 4 October, rejected all EU appeals and confirmed the conclusions of the Court’s first chamber.

Shaheed El-Hafed, October 3, 2024 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, on Thursday afternoon received the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara, Mr. Staffan de Mistura, at his office at the presidency of the Republic.

The meeting was attended by the Polisario Front representative at the United Nations, coordinator with MINURSO, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar, the advisor at the presidency in charge of media and the Arab world, Nana Labat Rachid, and de Mistura's aides.

Shaheed El-Hafed (Sahrawi refugee camps), 3 October 2024 (SPS) - The personal envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara, Staffan De Mistura, held a working session on Thursday evening with Sahrawi leaders in the Sahrawi refugee camps.

During this meeting, the Sahrawi side informed Mr. De Mistura of "the position of the Sahrawi leadership based on a single premise, namely allowing the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination as guaranteed by international laws and charters.
