EUCOCO 2018: Plunder of Sahrawi resources denounced

Madrid (Spain), November 19, 2018 (SPS) - The 43rd European Conference for Support and Solidarity with the Sahrawi People (EUCOCO 2018), which wrapped up Saturday in Madrid, has denounced the continued plunder of the Sahrawi natural resources by the European firms, warning against Europe’s manoeuvres aiming at including the Sahrawi territory in its commercial deal with Morocco.

President of Republic meets with African heads of state and government

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), November 18, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has met with African heads of state and government on the sidelines of the 11th extraordinary summit of the African Union.
The President of the Republic met with his counterparts of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia. He also met with the heads of the delegations of Nigeria, Seychelles and Angola.

Thousands of demonstrators in Madrid call on Spanish government to hold on its historic responsibilities towards Saharawi people

Madrid, November 18, 2018 (SPS) - Tens of thousands of Sahrawis and members of the Solidarity Movement demonstrated today in Madrid to condemn the Madrid tripartite agreement and demand that the Spanish state take on its historic responsibilities.
The demonstrators marched through the streets of the Spanish capital, chanting slogans in support of the Saharawi people's struggle, holding Sahrawi national flags and banners demanding the Spanish state to shoulder its responsibilities towards its former colony.

EUCOCO 2018: Worrying humanitarian situation in occupied Sahrawi territories

43rd EUCOCO: Determination to continue supporting Western Sahara’s decolonization process

Madrid, November 18, 2018 (SPS) - The European Coordinating Conference of Support to the Sahrawi People (EUCOCO) kicked off Friday in Madrid, in Spain, with the participation of about 400 personalities coming from the five continents, including parliamentarians and government’s representatives.
During the opening ceremony, the international delegations participating in this major solidarity event expressed their determination to continue supporting the decolonization process in Western Sahara, Africa’s last colony.

President of Republic partakes in extraordinary summit of African Union

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2018 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, took part Saturday in the 11th extraordinary summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, held Saturday and Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
On the sidelines of the summit, the President of the Republic will hold talks with African leaders and officials on the latest developments related to the Sahrawi issue at the African Union and United Nations levels.

South African Foreign Minister reiterates support for Saharawi Republic (PRESS)

43 years of infamous Madrid Accords signing

Madrid , Nov 14, 2018 (SPS) -This Wednesday marks 43 years of the signing of the infamous Madrid Accords among Spain, Morocco and Mauritania of Ould Dadah. Under the agreement, the Saharawi people was divided into those who remained under occupation and those who fled under bombardment of the Moroccan aviation to find a safe refuge in the Saharawi refugee camps in Algeria.

RASD participates at 20 Extraordinary Session of UA Foreign Affairs Ministers Executive Council

Algerian Minister of Culture hands over books to SADR

Algiers, November 11, 2018 (SPS) - A total of 7000 books were handed over on Saturday, in Algiers, by Algerian Minister of Culture Azzedine Mihoubi to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR).
The handing over of these books, published in 2016 and 2017, is part of the cooperation in the field of culture between the two countries’ culture ministries, an action coinciding with the wrap up of the 23rd International Book Fair of Algiers (SILA 2018).
