Minister Delegate to Africa holds meetings with AU officials

Addis Ababa, February 04,2016 (SPS)  - The Minister Delegate to Africa, Hamdi Jalil Mayara, held Wednesday in Addis Ababa, meetings with Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union (AU), Aicha Abdala, and Commissioner for Peace and Security of the AU, Ismael Chargui.


In both meetings they discussed issues of common interest and the results of the recent Summit of Heads of State and Government of the AU.
 

 

President of Republic says Moroccan king next visit to Western Sahara is a colonial show and a provocation

Bir Lahlou (liberated territories of SADR), January 03, 2016 (SPS) .- The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz has denounced today the next visit that the Moroccan king seeks to make to the occupied territories of Western Sahara, dubbing it as a colonial and a provocation show of brutal occupation force.

 

 

Juppé supports Ross's efforts to resolve conflict in Western Sahara

Algiers,February 03, 2016 (SPS) -Mayor of Bordeaux (France) Alain Juppé stressed Tuesday in Algiers that he supported the efforts of the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara Christopher Ross to find a solution the conflict.

 

The Director of the Russian-Chinese Center expresses its support for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination

Moscow,  February 03, 2016 (SPS) -The director of the Russian-Chinese Center for Studies, Dimitri Medwif, has expressed support for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination, requesting a date for the celebration of self-determination referendum in Western Sahara, said Wednesday the Polisario Front representation in Russia.

 

The statements of the Director of the Russian-Chinese Center for Studies, took place during a reception of the Polisario Front representative in Moscow, Ali Salem Mohamed Fadel.

 

CODESA condemns bloody events at Agadir and Merrakech Universities

El Aaiun(occupied Saharawi territories), February 02, 2016 (SPS) - The Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA), has condemned the bloody events that took place in the university sites of Agadir and Marrakech (Morocco) which claimed the lives of the Sahrawi student, Wissal Jalihenna and young Moroccan Omar Jalek and leaving several injured.

AU condemns Morocco obstruction of Ban Ki-Moon visit to Western Sahara

Addis Ababa,  February 02, 2016 (SPS) .- The ordinary 26 AU summit of Heads of State and Government condemned Moroccan obstacles to hinder the expected visit of Secretary General of the United Nations Mr. Ban Ki-Moon to Western Sahara and neighboring countries to boost the peace process.

 

Prime Minister holds talks in Addis Ababa with several African leaders

Addis Ababa, February 1, 2016 (SPS) The Prime Minister, Abdul Khader Taleb Oumar, met in Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of the 26th summit of the African Union, with several African heads of state and government.

 

They were the presidents of Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia and the heads of delegations of Algeria, Angola, Mozambique, Mauritius and Tanzania, in addition to other participating delegations from different continents.

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs holds talks in Addis Ababa with his Swedish counterpart

Addis Ababa, February 1, 2016 (SPS) Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek met, in Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of the meeting of Foreign Ministers African Union, with Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström.

 

During the meeting, Ould Salek informed the Swedish Minister on Africa's position regarding the question of Western Sahara, the latest developments related to this issue, and the situation of impasse due to the intransigence of Morocco.

 

Prime Minister holds talks in Addis Ababa with Ban Ki-moon

Addis Ababa, February 1, 2016 (SPS) Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar met Sunday in Addis Ababa with the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

 

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 26th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, held under the theme "2016, Year of Human Rights in Africa."
