President Mohamed Abdelaziz congratulates Prime Minister of Bahamas on Independence Day

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories),  July 14, 2011(SPS) – The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, congratulated the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of  The Bahamas, Hubert Alexander Ingraham, on the occasion of the 38th Anniversary of  Independence of  his country, in a letter a copy of it received by SPS on Wednesday.

Tunisia follows "very closely" course of negotiations between Polisario Front and Morocco

Algeria July 12, 2011 (SPS) - The Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Mouldi Kefi, underlined Saturday in Algiers that he follows "very closely" the meetings between the Polisario Front and Morocco, saying “we hope that a solution to this question will be found as soon as possible and that the next round of negotiations will lead to more constructive ideas.”

Death of Saharawi women affected by injuries due to Moroccan attack on Gdeim Izik camp

El Aaiun (occupied territories) July 10, 2011 (SPS) - The Saharawi citizen, Khadijatu Bahia, died Saturday in the occupied city of El Aaiun affected by injuries due to the Moroccan assault on the camp of Gdeim Izik on November 2010, according to sources from the City.

The deceased died after a struggle with serious injuries, after she shot by the Moroccan gendarmerie with a number of the Sahara citizens following the dismantlement of Gdeim Izik camp by the Moroccan occupation forces.

Juba (South Sudan) July 10, 2011 (SPS) - The Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Republic of South Sudan signed Saturday a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries at the ambassadorial level.

President of Republic holds meetings in South Sudan Republic

Juba (South Sudan) July 10, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, held several meetings with heads of state and governments as well as participating delegations on the celebrations of the declaration of South Sudan independence.

The President of the Republic met Saturday with the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, President of Zimbabwe, Mr. Robert Mugabe, head of the Cuban Delegation, Estepan Lazo.

Saharawi Republic formally recognizes Republic of South Sudan

Bir Lehlou (liberated territories) July 9, 2011 (SPS) - In a statement of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saharawi Republic (SADR) announced Saturday its official recognition of the Republic of South Sudan as an independent state, expressing intention to consolidate the ties of friendship and solidarity with the Republic of South Sudan.

President of Republic attends official declaration of South Sudan independence

Juba (South Sudan) July 9, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, arrived Friday in Juba, South Sudan, to attend the official proclamation of the independence of South Sudan Republic, at the invitation of the President of its government, Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit.




He was received at Juba’s airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in South Sudan’s government, Mr. Deng Alor, with a number of officials and politicians.
