Prime Minister receives PSOE delegation

Shaheed El Hafed, October 29, 2016 (SPS) - Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar received Thursday a delegation composed of Ander Gil Vega and Laura Berja from Spanish Socialist Party.
The meeting addressed aspects of cooperation and solidarity with the Saharawi people and means of improving them.
The Spanish position on the question of Western Sahara was also analyzed in the meeting. (SPS)

National Committee prepares launch of ARTifariti 10th edition

EUCOCO conference on Nov. 18-19 in Spain's Vilanova

Madrid (Spain), October 27, 2016 (SPS) - The 41st European Conference for Support and Solidarity with Saharawi People (EUCOCO) is to be held on November 18-19 in the Spanish city of Vilanova, Barcelona, organizers said on Thursday.
"This annual event organized every year, since 1975, in different European cities (like Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Brussels, Valence and Madrid) is undoubtedly the most important international movement for solidarity with the Saharawi people, as it brings together participants from every parts of the world," organizers stressed.

Expulsion of MINUSRO members, threat on regional security

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), October 27, 2016 (SPS) - The African Union Peace and Security Council (PSC) affirmed that the expulsion of members of the United Nations Mission for the self-determination referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) "is an approach that threatens regional peace, hinders regional and international efforts, and freezes the peace process."

Adala UK denounces Morocco's strategy for Sahrawis isolation

London, October 26, 2016 (SPS) - The British organization for human rights defence in Western Sahara, Adala UK, has denounced Wednesday Morocco's continuing strategy for the isolation of Sahrawi people by denying entry to international observers, journalists and pro-Sahrawi activists.
Adala UK said that dozens of activists, journalists and international observers who attempted to enter the occupied city of Al Ayun in response to calls from the Sahrawi NGO community to lift the blockade imposed by Morocco on the region "were expelled."
