Bir Lahlou, July 26, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, sent a letter of condolence to the Algerian President, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in which he extended his condolences on his behalf and on behalf of the people and the government of the Saharawi Republic, to the family of the deceased, Kamel Rezzag Bara , who died Tuesday morning.

Chahi El Hafed, July 26, 2017 (SPS) - The expanded Council of Ministers met on Tuesday, under the presidency of the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, to address the progress of the national cause and to evaluate the presidential tour, which his last leg, has been Chahid El Hafed.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers discussed the meetings with the popular bases in the framework of the presidential visit to the wilayas.

Bir Lahlou (Sahrawi Liberated Territories)- President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO Brahim Gali called on the United Nations to find a mechanism to monitor and protect human rights in Western Sahara, affirming that the sentences pronounced against the political prisoners of “Gdeim Izik” group was another “proof of Morocco’s intention to continue the violation of human rights in the occupied territories in the absence of witnesses.”

Geneva (Switzerland) July 25, 2017 (SPS) - The Swiss Committee for the Support of the Saharawi People expressed its condemnation after the a mock trial of the Sahrawi political prisoners, known as the Gdeim Izik Group by the Moroccan occupation court, describing the trial as unfair and lacking concrete evidence.
In a statement, the committee said it deplored the July 19 arbitrary verdicts against 23 Sahrawi activists were arrested in the aftermath of the violent dismantling of the peaceful protest camp.

Reacting to news of the extreme sentences imposed by the Moroccan authorities against a group of Saharawi activists (which include life imprisonment), the President of the World Peace Council, Socorro Gomes, has issued a statement this Sunday (23) to strongly reject the persecution of the activists and to call for the end of the occupation of Western Sahara by the Kingdom of Morocco. The entire trial had been rejected by various entities that dennounced its arbitrariness and the ill-treatment suffered by the prisoners. Read Socorro Gomes’ statement below:

Shaheed El-Hafed, 24 July 2017 (SPS) - Minister Counselor to the Presidency of the Republic, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Bashir Mustafa Sayed, chaired Monday a meeting of the subcommittee for national and international program of solidarity with the Sahrawi political prisoners group and condemnation of the unjust sentences issued against them.

Stockholm (Sweden), July 23, 2017 (SPS) - The Swedish commission of solidarity with the Sahrawi people denounced the iniquitous sentences against the Sahrawi political prisoners of "Gdeim Izik" group, affirming that the trial and according to the testimony of international observers who attended the trial was just a “pure staging” and that the sentences were pronounced on the basis of confessions extracted under torture and false testimony.

Brussels, July 23, 2017 (SPS) - Sahrawi Minister, representative of the Polisario Front for Europe Mohamed Sidati on Sunday urged the European Union (EU) to intervene to end the “escalation of Morocco's repression” against the Sahrawi people and force it to stop its “occupation” and “oppression” policy.
“We call on EU for urgent and firm intervention with Morocco to put an end to its escalation of repression and to stop its occupation and oppression policy”, wrote Sidati in a letter sent to the head of the European diplomacy Federica Mogherini.

Algiers, July 23, 2017 (SPS) – Adviser at the presidency of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic Lahritani Lahcen said Sunday in Algiers that the sentences issued by Sale Court in Rabat against 25 Sahrawi political detainees of Gdeim Izik Group are "strictly political and null" because they are not based on evidences.
