Establishment of Mechanism to coordinate and unify struggle in occupied territories of Western Sahara

Occupied El Aaiun, October 8, 2024 (SPS) - A founding assembly was held today, Tuesday, in the occupied city of El Aaiun to establish a new mechanism aimed at enhancing coordination and unifying struggle efforts in the occupied territories, coinciding with the anniversary of Sahrawi national unity.

The founding ceremony was attended by a number of human rights activists and representatives of the Sahrawi civil society, who gathered to discuss ways to confront the challenges facing the Sahrawi cause amid the current conditions.

Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad condemns murder of Sahrawi minor by Moroccan occupation forces

Shaheed Al-Hafid, October 8, 2024 (SPS) – The Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad condemned today, Tuesday, the murder of the Sahrawi minor child Osama Moloud Al-Mahjoub, who was 16 years old, by military forces of the Moroccan occupation, which shot him with live ammunition on the beach of the city of Tarfaya, leading to his death after sustaining at least one bullet to the head.

The ministry affirmed that this crime poses a real threat to the life and physical safety of Sahrawi civilians, extending condolences to the family of the victim.

Germany: Organizations in solidarity with Sahrawi people call on European Union to respect European Court's decision

Shaheed El Hafed, October 06, 2024 (SPS) - German organizations in solidarity with the Sahrawi people have praised the decision issued by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) declaring the agreements between the European Union and Morocco illegal, calling for its immediate implementation.

The organizations added in a statement that the European Union must respect the rulings of its own court and recognize that Western Sahara is not part of Morocco, and that Western Sahara should not be included in the negotiations between the European Union and Morocco.
