Algeria, Oct 22, 2020 (SPS) - The secretary general of the Voice of the Algerian people party, Mr. Lamín Osmani, reaffirmed, yesterday Wednesday, during the first anniversary of the party's constitution, that Algeria's position on concerining the cause of the Saharawi people emanates from the high principles of the revolution of the first of November and their commitment to respect international legality.

New York (The United Nations) 21 October 2020 (SPS)- The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Angola to the United Nations, H.E. Brussels, 18 October 2020 (SPS) - The Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Struggle of the Sahrawi People (EUCOCO) and the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization (AAPSO) intend to launch a new initiative on Western Sahara, in the form of a Declaration, called "Support of international law, human rights, and the right to self-determination for Western Sahara people, the last colony of Africa.

New York (United Nations) 16 October 2020 (SPS)- South African Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Xolisa Mabhongo, stressed the support of his country to the decolonization of Western Sahara, whose people are struggling “for self-determination”, in the statement of his country yesterday during the General Debate of the Special Political and Decolonisation Committee of the UN General Assembly.

Occupied Aaiun, October 15, 2020- The Saharawi Instance against the Moroccan Occupation (ISACOM) held Monday the first session of its general assembly after its foundation on September 20, amid smear campaign and police harassment against their members.
The chairwoman of the said body, Aminetu Haidar briefed the members of the General Assembly of the most important programs and activities carried out by the Executive bureau since its selection.

Algiers, October 15, 2020 (SPS) –-  Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic's Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Salek said the UN Security Council and France bear the full responsibility for the stalemate in the settlement process of the Saharawi cause and decolonization of the last colony in Africa.
Ould Salek told Channel One of the national radio that "the stalemate comes from within the Security Council, more precisely, France, which is blocking peace in the region."

New York (United Nations), 11 October 2020 (SPS) - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said Western Sahara issue is still on the table of the General Assembly as a decolonization issue.
In his latest report on the implementation of the Declaration on the granting of independence to colonial countries and peoples, Guterres said the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee), "examines the situation in Western Sahara in the context of issues relating to Non-Self-Governing Territories and decolonization."

Brussels, 10 October 2020 (SPS) - The Observatory of the Western Sahara Resource Watch (WSRW) on Thursday denounced the resumption of exports of frozen fish from Western Sahara to ports in West African countries, and reaffirmed that this trade “directly contributes to prolonging” Morocco’s illegal occupation of the last African colony.
