HRW expresses disappointment at Moroccan government demand to suspend its activity

Tunis, 3 Sept 2015 (SPS) - Human Rights Watch has expressed disappointment following a demand from the Moroccan government to suspend the organization’s activity in the country.

 

“Human Rights Watch is disappointed with the demand from the Morocco government’s spokesman in a letter dated September 23, 2015, that Human Rights Watch suspend its activities in the country,” said the organization in a statement Friday.

 

Polisario Front delegation on working visit in Norway

 Oslo (Norway) 2 October 2015 (SPS) A delegation of the Polisario Front led by the Saharawi coordinator with MINURSO, M'Hamed Khaddad, accompanied by the Polisario Front representative in Norway, Dr. Limam Khalil, conducted Wednesday and Thursday a working visit in Norway, indicated a Sahrawi diplomatic source in Norway. 

 

 The Saharawi delegation was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. During its stay, the Polisario delegation held meetings with several political parties, trade unions and Norwegian civil society.

 

Angola urges UN to accelerate decolonization of last colony in Africa

New York (United Nations), October 1, 2015 (SPS) The Republic of Angola on Thursday urged the United Nations to accelerate the decolonization of the last colony in Africa, to enable the Saharawi people TO exercise its right to self-determination and independence, stressed the Vice President of Angola, Domingos Vicente, in his address to the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.

 

Establishment of a Spanish association for the Saharawi people support in Murcia

Saharawi Jurists Union condemns Saleh Lbasir sentence

Chahid Hafid, October 01, 2015 (SPS) - the Union of Saharawi Jurists on Thursday has denounced the unfair sentence against the political and media Saharawi prisoner, Saleh Lbasir, according to a SJU statement.

 


The Union has strongly condemned Salah’s sentence, assuming the Moroccan state full responsibility for his life and safety and calling to release him immediately, urging international human rights organization and association to exert pressure on Morocco to release all Sahrawi political prisoners.

 

 

Saharawi political prisoner sentenced to four years in prison

El Aaiun (occupied territories), Octobre 01, 2015 (SPS) - Court of Moroccan occupation in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, has sentenced to four  year in prison the Saharawi political prisoner, Salah Lebsir, according to the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.
