Al Jazeera features documentary on Sahrawi issue
Doha (Qatar) February 2, 2014 (SPS) - "Broken Families,"premiering on Sunday on Al Jazeera English, follows Sahrawi human rights activist and President of the Sahrawi Association of Victims of Grave Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State, Brahim Dahane, as he defends the rights of the Sahrawi people in the occupied territories of Western Sahara by Morocco.
Making food security, "priority" as peace and security
Addis –Ababa (Ethiopia), February 1, 2014 (SPS) - Participants at the 22nd Ordinary Summit of the African Union (AU), which ended Friday in Addis Ababa, stressed the need for making food security in Africa "a priority" as well as security and peace.
The African leaders have called for strengthening peace and security and exploiting wealth and capabilities available in the continent.

Saharawi President urges in Addis Ababa for quick solution to Western Sahara issue
Addis Ababa, February 1, 2014 (SPS) - Saharawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz called on African leaders in Addis Ababa to find a solution to the question of Western Sahara as soon as possible, "in line with international law and through a referendum on self-determination, which Africa has been the first to adopt."
Council of Europe’s contribution to find a solution to the Western Sahara conflict
Strasbourg (France)- February 1, 2014 (SPS) - Rapporteur of the Committee for Political and Democratic Affairs of the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly Liliane Maury Pasquier presented on Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, its first report on Western Sahara before the Committee for Political and Democratic Affairs, entitled "Contribution of the Council of Europe to a solution to the Western Sahara conflict."
