Solidarity messages from Timor-Leste on commemorations of anniversary of Martyrs’ Day on 9 June.

Dili (Timor-Leste), 9 June 2021 (SPS)- The Saharawi Embassy in East-Timor has received solidarity messages from Timor-Leste on the occasion of the commemorations of the anniversary of the Martyrs’ Day on 9 June.
The solidarity messages were a video solidarity message from Mrs. Nurima Ribeiro Alkatiri, Member of the central Committee of FRETILIN Political Party and its Coordinator for International Relations, a video solidarity message from Timor-Leste Solidarity Movement with the struggle of the Saharawi People, an audio Message from Association for Law, Human Rights and Justice (Association HAK), a written solidarity message from Dr. Antero Benedito da Silva from Timor-Leste who was the Students’ Peace Prize laureate in 1999 of the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) Norway, a written solidarity message from Western Sahara Solidarity Movement of East Timor.
The messages expressed Solidarity for the forty-fifth Anniversary of the Martyrs' Day of the Saharawi people, in honor of all the Martyrs who lost their lives in defense of the total independence of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (S.A.D.R).
They praised the bravery and courage of the Saharawi people in the struggle for the liberation and against occupation of their country by foreign powers, expressed admiration for the spirit of the struggle against their enemy under the leadership of its sole legitimate representative the Front Polisario.
