Bir Lehlu (Liberated Territories of the Sahrawi Republic), May 30, 2019 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek has sent warm congratulations to his South African counterpart, H.E Dr. Nadeli Pandor on the occasion of his appointment as the new Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa
In a message sent to the new minister, the Head of Saharawi diplomacy adds that “he is convinced that it is the right time to elevate the long-term and excellent relations already existed between our two countries, which have stood the test of time and adversity, by combining our common quest to strengthen the role of our continental organization, the African Union, to continue to call on Morocco to honour the African Union Constitutive Act and Resolutions on holding of the referendum to give the Sahrawi People the opportunity to exercise their legitimate right to determine their destiny and to put an end to the occupation of its territory.”
Mohamed Salem Ould Salek reiterates his full readiness to work closely with his south African counterpart at the bilateral level at the African Union and at the African and international fora. SPS
