Shahid El Hafed, 2 April 2022 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, received Thursday a delegation of the European Parliament which visited the Sahrawi refugee camps.
The audience held at the headquarters of the Presidency, was attended by President of the National Council (Parliament), Hama Salama, Prime Minister, Bouchraya Hamoudi Bayoune and Representative of the Polisario Front in Europe and the EU, Abi Bouchraya Bachir.
After thanking the European delegation for its visit, which comes at a particular time in the struggle of the Saharawi people, the Saharawi president praised "the important role of parliamentary groups in defending the legitimate rights of the Saharawi people and its natural resources.
Recalling the latest developments of the Sahrawi issue especially after the violation by Morocco of the ceasefire on November 13, 2020 and the return to war, Mr. Ghali referred to the legal battle waged by the Polisario Front in European courts against the illegal exploitation of natural resources of Western Sahara.
The European Parliament delegation arrived on Tuesday for a three-day official visit to the Saharawi refugee camps where a warm welcome was given to it in the wilaya of El Aaiun.
