Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), 6 February 2021 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, took part in the work of the 34th ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, which was held today, Saturday, via remote visual communications technology under the theme "Arts, Culture and Heritage: Levers for Building the Africa We Want."
The agenda of the summit includes detailed reports on the theme of year 2021, the state of peace and security in Africa and institutional reform, as well as a detailed report on the progress of the AU response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
African heads of state and government are scheduled to approve a series of decisions and declarations on the various challenges and aspirations that occupy the continental arena, and will adopt the report issued by the 38th regular session of the Executive Council of the African Union. (SPS)
