Establishment of Sahrawi-French Center, Ahmed Baba Maska, for Studies and Documentation

Paris (France), July 12, 2018 (SPS) - The Sahrawi-French Center for Studies and Documentation, Ahmed Baba Maska, was established on Wednesday in Paris, in recognition of the great sacrifices made by the Sahrawi diplomat in the history of the Sahrawi people's just struggle for freedom and independence. .
The institution of this unique center was attended by a group of researchers and writers. It is expected to establish a national academic database for research and studies, gathering of information and data to serve researchers and decision-makers, as well as communicating with research centers and universities to exchange experiences in various fields, especially on human rights, natural resources and strategic studies.
Late Ahmed Baba Mesaka is considered one of the most prominent thinkers and writers who accompanied the march of the Sahrawi people and their just struggle for freedom and independence. He joined the ranks of the Polisario Front since the beginning. He was appointed a member of the Polisario Front's Political Bureau during its 3rd Congress in 1976. He continued defending the Sahrawi cause until he passed away on March 14, 2016. (SPS)
