MOSCOW, dec 19, 2017 (SPS) -, the representative of Frente POLISARIO TO Russia, Mr. Ali Salem Mohammed Fadhil was received Tuesday at the Russian Duma headquarters (Lower Chamber of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation - Parliament) by Vladimir Kharchenko, of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the Frente POLISARIO and the Russian Communist Party in the light of recent developments, both at the level of the two countries or at the continental and international levels.
During the meeting, the Sahrawi diplomat focused on some shameful positions in the international organization of some influential countries, such as France, which stands shamefully in defense of the Moroccan regime, recalling the repeated violations by the Moroccan invaders of the UN settlement plan.
Mr. Kharchenko reiterated the position of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation to the right of the Saharawi people to exercise their right to self-determination, while at the same time stating that the right of peoples to self-determination is one of the constants of the Party and cannot be overcome or traded.
The two sides also agreed to continue consultations in the future and to seek effective ways for the development of bilateral relations between them to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation, especially at the level of mass organizations as well as good relations between the Sahrawi and Russian women's organizations.
To be noted, the Communist Party of Russia is the second political force in the country after the United Russia Party and is considered the heir of the Soviet Communist Party. SPS
