Timor-Leste Parliament’s Commission for support of Self-determination referendum in Western Sahara reaffirms its stand vis-à-vis Sahrawi People Just cause

Dili (Timor-Leste), 11 April 2022 (SPS) - The President of Timor-Leste Parliament’s Commission for support of Self-determination referendum in Western Sahara, Mr. Aderito Hugo da Costa accompanied by members of the Commission received Tuesday in the headquarters of Timor-Leste Parliament in the Capital Dili the Sahrawi Republic Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Mr. Abba Malainin.
The President of Timor-Leste Parliament’s Commission for support of the Self-determination referendum in Western Sahara reaffirmed the strong, unwavering and consistent stand of the Commission and the Timorese National Parliament vis-à-vis the Sahrawi People Just cause.
The meeting focused on the recent developments of the issue of Western Sahara and matters of common interest.

It is worth noting that Timor-Leste Parliament’s Commission for support of Self-determination referendum in Western Sahara, which is composed of all the political parties represented in the Timorese Parliament has participated last December in the 46th European Conference of Support and Solidarity with Saharawi People (EUCOCO) in Berlin, Germany.
