Louali Moussa Zaoui presents his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Republic to the Republic of Zimbabwe

Harare (Zimbabwe), June 01, 2023 (SPS) - Mr. Louali Moussa Zaoui presented his credentials on Wednesday, to the Zimbabwean President, Mr. Emerson Mnangagwa, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Republic to the Republic of Zimbabwe.
During the ceremony of credential presentation, the Zimbabwean President, Mr. Emerson Mnangagwa, expressed his pride in the level of historical relations between the Republic of Zimbabwe and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, stressing that the Zimbabwean side looks forward to deepening and strengthening these relations.
The Zimbabwean President recalled the firm position and conviction of the government and people of his country of the need for the Saharawi people to enjoy their inalienable right to self-determination and independence, and to advocate for those rights in all regional and international forums.

For his part, the Sahrawi ambassador expressed to His Excellency the Zimbabwean President the greetings of his brother, President Brahim Ghali, and the appreciation of the Sahrawi people for the firm and supportive stance of Zimbabwe with their struggle.
The ceremony of presenting the credentials of the Sahrawi ambassador took place in the presence of Mrs. Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Minister of Defense and War Veterans Affairs, in addition to Mr. Hamahu Allah Mohamed, the first Secretary of the Sahrawi Embassy in Harare.
It’s worth mentioning that the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Republic of Zimbabwe have excellent bilateral relations since the recognition of the SADR by the Republic of Zimbabwe in 1980. The two countries also maintain relations at the level of ambassadors.
