London, April 21, 2011 (SPS) -The Polisario front has denied categorically Thursday in London any involvement in Libya affairs, in a response to an article appeared in yesterday Telegraph on line.
In his response to the Telegraph on line, the Polisario Front Representative UK and Ireland, Mr. Lamine Baali, refuted with strongest terms allegations that “Details of a deal to recruit 450 fighters from the disputed Western Sahara region have been passed to Nato officials by a former Gaddafi loyalist who was involved in the negotiations before defecting to the rebels.”
He also reminded the public opinion that Polisario officials at many occasion made several denials on similar allegations when first appeared in the Moroccan mass media and later in other press.
The Polisario diplomat expressed surprise because of the timing of such “unsubstantial allegation”, which coincides with UN Security Council debating a resolution on Western Sahara on the light of the UN General Secretary report, confirming that the first beneficial from the nature of this allegation would be the Morocco authorities which apposes the UN monitor of Human Right in Western Sahara.
The diplomat asserted in his response that the Sahrawi government and the POLISARIO front have never and will never intervene in the internal affairs of any nation, reiterating on this occasion the foreign policy principle of the Saharawi Government and Polisario Front of non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states.
