Sahrawi delegation on working visit to Namibia

Windhoek(Namibia) August 4, 2011(SPS) – A delegation of the Frente Polisario has been received Wednesday by the President of the Parliament of Namibia, Dr. Theo-Ben Gurirab, in the capital of Namibia, Windhoek, as the Rotating President of the Congress of Socialist International, who reaffirmed his support to the "right" of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.

During the meeting, the Namibian official expressed the solidarity of the Namibian people and Namibian parliament with the Saharawi people, highlighting that one cannot talk about the end of colonialism in Africaunless decolonization process is completed through the independence of the Sahrawi people.

The Sahrawi delegation which included Mr. M'Hamed Khadad, the Sahrawi coordinator with the MINURSO, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, the Delegate Minister in charge of Europe,  met with a number of Namibian officials, where it held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Namibia, Mr. Utoni Nujoma, discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the SahrawiRepublicand the Republicof Namibia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Namibia confirmed the illegal exploitation and plundering of natural resources in Western Sahara, adding that the international community must work to put an end to looting and occupation (SPS).
