Intransigence and disregard by Moroccan regime need firm and decisive response from international community (president of Republic)

 Bir Lahluo(liberated territories)January 17,2011(SPS) President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, Tuesday, explained that  the intransigence and disregard  shown  by Moroccan regime to requirements  of international  law need  a firm and decisive response   from international community .  

“ the international community  cannot work in  many places around the world while ignoring  clear violations of human rights in territory under direct  responsibility of the  United Nations  that western Sahara  is a  matter of   decolonization and land  and people did not enjoy their right to self-determination and independence” the President writes to Ban ki-moon, following  Moroccan  escalation of repression against the Saharawis in the occupied territories .  
 

“The Moroccan authorities started since last Thursday a brutal aggression against civilian demonstrators in    solidarity with Gdaim Izik detainees in cities of El Aayone , Boujdur and Smara consequence    many casualties   between  the  civilian Saharawis”
 

“The Moroccan serious and continues practices cannot serve settlement efforts led by  the United Nations, especially as  they are associated with  not putting an end to  looting  of natural resources  of western sahara and not dismantling   the  Moroccan military wall which considers as  a crime against humanity with its millions of mines including anti –personal internationally banned” the president warned.
 

President of the Republic finally called on the United Nations to intervene immediately  to” take all measures  to  insure safety and security  to defenseless citizens and therefore  find out a mechanism  that   enable the MINURSO  to protect , monitoring   and reporting on   human rights and release all Saharawi political prisoners  and  clarify the fate of more than 651 disappeared Saharawis to Moroccan state ”(SPS)
