New York, March 08, 2012 (SPS) - A delegation of the National Union of Saharawi Women (UNMS), took part on Wednesday in celebration of International Women’s day at UN headquarters.
The event was inaugurated by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon , Ambassador of Liberia and Chair of the Commision on Status of Women, Marjon V Kamara, and UN Executive Director for Women, Michelle Bachelet.
Led by Secretary General of the Saharawi Woman Union, Ms. Fatma Mehdi , the delegation is taking part at the sixty-fifth ordinary session of the Commission on the Status of Women, held in the UN headquarters from March 1 to 9, 2012. (SPS)
