President of Republic condoles Algerian counterpart on death of Algeria first president

Bir Lehlu (Liberated Territories), April 12, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has sent on Thursday a message of condolences to his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on death of Algeria first president, Ahmed Ben Bella.

 

“It is with deep sorrow and grief that we have learnt of the death of Algeria’s first president and the great mujahid, Ahmed Ben Bella”, wrote President Mohamed Abdelaziz to the Algerian president.

 

President of the Republic conveyed “deep condolences" of SADR people and government to Algerian people and Ben Bella’s family", praying Allah Almighty to bless his soul.

 

The President paid tribute to Ben Bella, calling him “a great loss” and a man who dedicated his life to fight for the liberation of his country and its reconstruction.

 

The President underlined that the Saharawi people still suffering the occupation of their land are inspired by the human qualities, sacrifice, endurance, noble ideals and principles enjoyed by Ahmed Ben Bella.


Ahmed Ben Bella, first president of independent Algeria, died Wednesday in the capital Algiers at the age of 95.

 

The Algerian President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, declared eight days of national mourning for the death of Ben Bella, reported the Algerian News Agency (APS).  (SPS)
