Boumerdes (Algeria), July 16, 2012 (SPS) - The international network of solidarity with the Sahrawi people is "constantly growing," Pierre Galand, the president the European Coordination Conference of Support to the Sahrawi People said Sunday in Boumerdes, Algeria.
"From about twelve supporting voices present at the first meeting of solidarity with Sahrawi people in the Hague (Holland) in 1975, there are now 500 at each solidarity conference held around the world," said Galand in his address at the Summer School of the executives of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR).
He considered that this has been achieved owing to the efforts of the members of the Polisario front, "through their peaceful struggle and their efforts on the international scene over the past thirty years."
"A great responsibility has been given to the solidarity network to serve the Sahrawi cause," he said. (SPS)
