El Aaiun (occupied territories), August 27, 2012 (SPS) - Moroccan occupation authorities have formed a working cell and mobilized a group of mercenaries and settlers to undermine the Saharawi masses in occupied Western Sahara, who poured the streets to receive the U.S. human rights delegation visiting the region, a human rights source told SPS.

The source pointed out that the Moroccan authorities fear that the Saharawi masses stage in demonstrations calling for the right of self-determination and exposing the gross violations practiced against the Saharawi people before eyes of the U.S. delegation, thus it fabricated counter demonstrations refuting demands of the Saharawis.

The U.S. human rights delegation, headed by the President of RFK Centre for Justice and Human Rights Ms. Kerry Kennedy and composed of four international organizations, arrived Friday night in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, to assess the situation of human rights in the ground and work of the UN Mission for the referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO).

The delegation also expected Wednesday in the Saharawi refugee camps. (SPS)
