Fourth Ordinary Session of African Youth Ministers concludes in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, Sept 16, 2012 (SPS) - The three-day 4th Ordinary Session of African Ministers of Youth wrapped out Saturday at African Union Conference Centre in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, in the presence of a Saharawi delegation led by the Minister of Youth and Sport Mr. Mohamed Moulud Mohamed Fadel.


The African ministers of youth took decision that aim to develop and empower the young Africans to achieve progress and success by expanding employment opportunities, reduce unemployment and facilitate the financial access for young people, as to support their projects and initiatives.


The session also comes to contribute to the liberation of Africa, economically, as to move forward in the application of African decimal plan (2009-2018) for youth development, diversification of voluntary initiatives for young Africans on bilateral, regional and continental level, facilitate movement of youth between African states and strengthening the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps.


It also called on government agencies to work with youth and civil society organizations to enlarge the areas of action and increase the participation of young people in the political, social and economic life. (SPS)
