New York, Oct 17, 2012 (SPS) - The Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Christopher Ross, will visit North Africa and Europe from 27 October to 15 November to continue his mission, said today the Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Martin Nesarsky.
Nesrsky underlined that ” the focus of Christopher Ross of during this trip will be to exchange views with key interlocutors on how to accelerate progress toward the central objective set forth in successive Security Council resolutions, in other words, a mutually acceptable political solution, which will provide for the self-determination of the people of Western Sahara”
He added the "Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara due to brief the Security Council following his trip". (SPS)
