Shahid Alhafed, December13, 2012(SPS) President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, called on the Parliaments of the European Countries to recognize the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) as the Swedish Parliament already did.
In interview with the Algerian Radio on Thursday, President considered the Swedish Parliament’s decision as “an important step and a very strong message to the Moroccan government and to the entire international community,”
He pointed out that positions like this “ will encourage and support without doubt effort of the United Nations to find a peaceful and just solution respects the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination and independence,”
President Mohamed Abdelaziz, explained that the international community now “knows that the Moroccan Government is blocking efforts of the United Nations, violates human rights in the occupied territories and looting natural resources of Western Sahara”
He indicated that there are “increasing pressures exerted by international community on Morocco occupation through recognitions of SADR and several resolutions and recommendations from the United Nations and other international organizations whether on the legal or political aspects or Human rights”
President stressed that these pressures could “force Morocco to comply with international legitimacy then implement resolutions of the United Nations which call for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.”(SPS)
