Participants at World Peace Council’s meeting deeply concerned over abuses against Saharawis

Lisbon, June 2, 2013 (SPS) - Participants at the meeting of World Peace Council has expressed deep concern over the grave violations of human rights carried out by Moroccan occupation authorities in Western Sahara, according to a source from POLISARIO representation in Portugal.


Addressing the meeting, POLISARIO Representative in Lisbon Mr. Mohamed Fal Mohamed Yehdih extended his sincere thanks, in the name of the Saharawi people and the Frente Polisario, to the World Peace Council, valuing the deep bonds of solidarity and friendship already existed between the Portuguese and Saharawi people.


The meeting, wrapped out Sunday, was attended by some political missions accredited to Portugal, as well as Portuguese political parties and civil society organizations.


World Peace Council (WPC) is an international organization founded in 1949. It advocates for universal disarmament, sovereignty, independence and peaceful co-existence of peoples. (SPS)
