Oviedo (Asturias), June 10, 2013 (SPS) - The five groups represented at the Government of the Principality of Asturias, Spain, have decided to create a parliamentary intergroup to boost the recognition of Saharawis’ rights, according to Europa Press.

The parliamentary group (PSOE, Forum, PP, IU and Misto-UPyD) has agreed to the creation of a parliamentary intergroup composed of one member from each of the formations with the name “Peace and Freedom for the Saharawi people.”

The purpose of this Asturias parliamentary intergroup is to study, discuss and promote initiatives that support the recognition of the right of the Saharawi to live in freedom, and “the search for a just and peaceful solution to complete the unfinished decolonization."

Similar initiatives have been taken in the parliaments of Basque and Cataluña, added the same source. (SPS)
