African Organization for Women Entrepreneurship and promoting its economic role confirms its solidarity with Sahrawi women

Abuja (Nigeria), July 2, 2013 (SPS) – Mrs. Basirat Nahebe, President of the "African Organization for Entrepreneurship of women and promoting its economic role " has renewed solidarity with the struggle of Sahrawi women for freedom and independence, "during a meeting with Sahrawi delegation participating in the work session of the Supreme II African Women network, on Sunday in Abuja, headed by Khadija Hamdi, a member of the national Secretariat and the Minister of Culture.

 

Mrs. Nahebe expressed her "admiration for the steadfastness of Sahrawi women and their creativity in the resistance, and development programs of women in the asylum despite  the difficult circumstances," stressing at the same time, that "the struggle of Sahrawi womenwill remain a model for all African women, and e bright evidence of their ability to overcome all the challenges. "

 

Ms. Nahebe, made ​​a detailed presentation on some initiatives to be undertaken by the organization on continental and international level in order to defend Sahrawi women and the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence.

 

For its part, Mrs.Fatma Mahdi, a member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario and General Secretary of the Sahrawi Women Union, adresse her thanks to the African Women Organization "on its  great and effective efforts in the various stations of solidarity with the Sahrawi women during the recent years," expressing "the Sahrawi government's and the National Union of Sahrawi Women readiness to continue to deepen Permanent cooperation and coordination relations between the two parties "to serve the interests of African and Sahrawi women, and embodies the goals of progress and prosperity."

 

It is noteworthy that the National Union of Sahrawi Women is a member with full rights of the African Organization for women's leadership and promotion of its economic role since July 2010. (SPS)
