SADR ambassador in Ecuador presents his credentials

Quito, July 18,2013 (SPS) - Ambassador Mohamed Salem Daha has presented Wednesday his credentials as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in the Republic of Ecuador.

 

The event, where the presents heard the national anthems of the two countries, was held at the Presidential Palace where SADR Ambassador Mohamed Salem Daha, was received by the Acting President Jorge Glas Espinel and Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, in the presence of other senior officials of the Presidency and the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry.

 

In the meeting, which lasted about 30 minutes, the SADR Ambassador briefly explained the situation of his people and transmitted the fraternal and friendly greeting of the Sahrawi people and government, as well as greetings of President Mohamed Abdelaziz to President Correa, the people and the government of Ecuador.

 

Meanwhile, both the Ecuadorian President and the Minister in charge, have reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity, support and affection for the just cause of the Saharawi people fighting for over 40 years. (SPS)
