Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), Nov 26, (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has sent a letter of felicitation to Frente Amplio of Uruguay on the occasion of its 6th Extraordinary Congress.
In a letter to the President of Frente Amplio Ms. Mónica Xavier, President Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed, behalf of the Saharawi people, Frente Polisario and on his own behalf, best wishes for the success of Frente Amplio’s congress, wishing that its objectives and aspirations to build a more fairer, freer, democratic and egalitarian society in Uruguay are met.
Saharawi President went on saying that the Polisario Front, which keep on struggling for freedom and independence of the Saharawi people, shares with the Frente Amplio the same spirit of struggle and sacrifice that has been demonstrated over the years to make Uruguay a country for liberty and democracy.
He also hailed the Frente Amplio’s strong support to the cause of the Saharawi people and their legitimate right to self-determination.
He, in this respect, expressed Polisario Front’s desire to "maintain and strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation" with Frente Amplio. (SPS)
