Are taking part in this meeting, organized by the Algerian National Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi people (CNASPS), in collaboration with the Embassy of the SADR in Algiers, representatives of civil society, political parties and parliamentary institutions from Africa, Europe, the Arab world and Japan.
The African continent is represented by Mali, Kenya, Ghana, Namibia, Angola, while Europe is represented by delegations from Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Russia, and Portugal.
The Arab world is represented by Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine and Egypt.
During the first session of this two-day conference, participants will discuss topics related to the right of colonized peoples to resist.
More specifically, the case of Saharawi people will be addressed through the issue of violations of human rights in the occupied territories, spoliation of natural resources by Morocco, the humanitarian situation of refugees and finally the "contradictory position" of the European Union (EU) towards the Saharawi conflict.
The second day will be devoted to the presentation of testimony by Sahrawi human rights activists in the occupied territories and by foreign observers.
