El Aaiun (occupied territories), Dec 20, 2013 (SPS) - Saharawi masses in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, organized Thursday peaceful rallies and protests in the streets of Sidi Mohamed Dadach and Skeikimat, said a Saharawi rights source.
The demonstrators raised Polisario Front’s flags, and chanted a number of slogans calling for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence.
They also demanded the release of all the Saharawi political prisoners and stop Moroccan state’s plundering of Western Sahara natural resources.
These protests were violently dispersed by Moroccan police and auxiliary forces, added the same source. (SPS)
