Harare, Jan 6, 2014 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe H.E. Mr. Simbarashe Mumbengegwi has urged Morocco to comply with international will by accepeting the democratic solution which provides for the inalienable right of the Saharawis people to self-determination, reaffirming Zimbabwean government’s firm support to the Saharawi cause.

In a meeting with the Saharawi ambassador Mr. Deich Mohamed Saleh, held Wednesday at Foreign Ministry HQ, Mr. Mumbengegwi asked Morocco to accept the democratic solution which provides for the inalienable right of the Saharawis people to self-determination, through conducting a free, fair and impartial referendum.

"Saharawi Republic (SADR) has taken its place within the African Union. Evry attempt by Morocco to sabotage that is unacceptable," added head of Zimbabwe’s diplomacy.

The Saharawi ambassador, for his part, hailed the government of Zimbabwean Republic, led by H.E. Presient Robert Mugabe, for its support to the struggle waged by the Saharawi people for self-determination and independence.

He, therefore, wished for the government of Zimbabawe every success on the road to achieve the sustainable development.

The meeting focused on the latest developments in Western Sahara and the last African Union Summit. (SPS)
