Birlehlu (Liberated Territories), September 30, 2014 (SPS) - Polisario Front has condemned the "deliberate assassination" of Saharawi human rights activist Hasnet El-Wali in Dakhla, a town under Moroccan occupation, dubbing it a "cowardly, criminal act, said a communiqué by the Saharawi Republic presidency.
"Martyr Hasnet El-Wali was a victim of a deliberate and premeditated cowardly, criminal act," the source said.
The political prisoner Hasnet El-Wali died "as a result of negligence by Moroccan occupation authorities," who did not take him to hospital after the deterioration of his health.
Saharawi presidency stressed United Nations' responsibility over the occupied territory of Western Sahara, whose people are deprived of their right to self-determination, warning against "repercussions of Morocco's occupation and repression," the source added. (SPS)
