Montevideo, Nov 19, 2014 (SPS) - Foreign Affairs Minister of Uruguay, Dr. Luis Almagro, reiterated his country’s support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination, during the presentation of a book entitled “Voice of the Wind,” said Wednesday Algerian Press Service (APS).
Mr. Almagro stated that Uruguay called, within the Human Rights Council, to incorporate the protection and monitoring of human rights in occupied Western Sahara into the prerogatives of MINURSO.
Presented in Montevideo, the aforementioned book contains a selection of Spanish poetry written by Saharawis, who are members in the Friendship Generation Association. (SPS)
