Aghwinit (Liberated Territories), December 11, 2014 (SPS) - A tactical project of military maneuver was carried out in the zone of Aghwinit, in the 7th Sahrawi military region in the presence of President of the Republic, Secretary General of Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz.
The maneuver, also attended by Sahrawi Defence Minister Mohamed Amine Ould El-Bouhali and marked by the participation of three military regions (1st, 3rd and 7th), started with review of military staff and presentation of tactical project of opposing defences breakthrough.
The maneuver, organized in the zone of Aghwinit over a 40 km area, in the Sahrawi liberated territories near the borders with Mauritania, simulates a defensive military operation, allowing the domination of the opposing party.
Sahrawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz underlined, in a press briefing held at the end of the military maneuver, that the aptitudes and good preparation of the units as well as the fighting training of the Sahrawi army allowed achieving the intended targets. (SPS)
