Madrid, Feb 3, 2015 (SPS) - Secretary for Relations with Civil Society at the Spanish Party “Podemos”, Mr. Rafael Mayoral, has renewed his party’s “absolute solidarity” with the just struggle of the Saharawi people, in a meeting with Polisario Front Delegate to Madrid Mr. Abdallahi Arabi.
Mr. Mayoral also criticized Spanish authorities’ intention to force the Saharawi activist Hasana El-Wali to leave Spanish soil.
Saharawi diplomat, for his part, informed his interlocutors about the repeated Moroccan violations of human rights against innocent Saharawis in the occupied Western Sahara.
He also spoke about the state of media siege imposed over the territory by Morocco, and the impasse on the question of Western Sahara due to Morocco’s lack of will to organize the UN-led referendum on self-determination for the Saharawi people.
The meeting was also attended by Jose Taboada, president of the Coordination of Spanish Associations of Solidarity with Western Sahara. (SPS)
