President of Republic offers condolences following Tunisia museum attack

Bir Lehlou (liberated zones), March 19, 2015 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has sent a condolence telegram to his Tunisian counterpart, Mr. Mohamed Beji Caid Essebsi, following the terrorist attack on a Tunisian museum that left 22 people dead and 40 injured, occurred on Wednesday.


“We have followed with deep concern the treacherous attack by terrorists on the Bardo Museum, located in the capital of your sisterly country of Tunisia on Wednesday, 18 March 2015, which claimed the lives of 22 and about 40 injured,” said President Mohamed Abdelaziz, in his condolence telegram.


Condemning strongly such horrible bloody terrorist act, the President of the Republic conveyed, on behalf of the government and people of the Saharawi Republic (SADR), the strongest expressions of sympathy and solidarity with families of the victims, and through them to government and people of the sisterly Republic of Tunisia as a whole.


He expressed his confidence that such behavior will never deter the brotherly people of Tunisia to move in the march towards the realization of the rule of law in a democratic state with institutions.


Under its international obligations and within the African Union, the Sahrawi Republic (SADR) reaffirms commitment to work rigorously to fight terrorism in all its forms and to contribute to the international efforts aimed at eradicating this abhorrent phenomenon, concluded the telegram. (SPS)
