Paris , March 31, 2015 (SPS) - The French Platform Solidarity and the Sahrawi associations in France decided to organize a massive rallies in Paris to ask the French government to find an urgent solution to the issue of Western Sahara by enabling the Saharawi people to their inalienable right of self-determination
The demonstration aims to remind France of its legal and moral responsibilities towards the Sahrawi people, who is divided between the suffering of exile in the camps and the repression of the Moroccan occupying authorities in the occupied territories.
The platform has appealed all the components of the Sahrawi community in France to attend the demonstration, which will be started on Saturday from the Trocadero Square in direction to the Moroccan embassy in order to deliver the voice of the Saharawi people to French decision-makers.
In another context, the platform announced its intention to organize a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the French National Assembly in coincidence with the start of the mid-April meeting, in the framework of the solidarity week with political prisoners across the world, in order to sensitize about the situation of the Saharawi political prisoners in the Moroccan jails.
