Maputo (Mozambique) 24 May 2015 (SPS) - The Embassy of the Sahrawi Republic (SADR) participated Saturday in the celebrations of the 52th Africa’s Day, organised in Maputo, Mozambique, under the theme “Year of Women's Empowerment and Development Towards Africa's Agenda 2063”.
The Embassy organized an exhibition on the struggle of the Saharawi people and its customs and traditions, as well as the situation of grave violations committed by the Moroccan occupation against Saharawis in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
Seventeen African countries took part in the event. It was also attended by members of the government and the diplomatic corps accredited to Mozambique, in addition to academics, students and civil society. (SPS)
