EL-Aaiun (refugee camps), June 02, 2015 (SPS) - The Ministry of Education on Tuesday declared in El Aaiun, Saharawi refugee camps, the official closing of the academic year 2014 -2015, in the presence of the Speaker of Parliament Mr. Jatri Addouh, Minister of Education Ms. Mariam Salek Hmmada, and some members of the National Secretariat and government.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Mariam praised the efforts made by the staff of educational system in order to “prepare generations capable of carrying on the torch and moving forward on the principles set out by leader of the May 20th Revolution, martyr EL-Ouali Mustapha Sayad.”
She also highlighted that success rate in the primary certification exam for this year (2014-2015) has reached 72%, intermediate certificate 56.56%, while the general rate exceeded 90%.
Lasting for two days, the event will witness a wide range of activities such as exhibitions, sports competitions, game market, musical concert and a ceremony to honor the best pupils. (SPS)
