Johannesburg, 15 June 2015 (SPS) - The Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, appreciated Cuba's support to the Saharawi people's struggle for independence, during a meeting Sunday with Vice President of the State Council of Cuba, Salvador Valdes Mesa.
At the meeting held in the South African city of Johannesburg, Abdelkader Taleb Omar described the position of Cuba as "historic", stressing the excellent relation that binds the Saharawi Republic and Cuba.
For his part, the Vice President of the State Council of Cuba, Salvador Valdes Mesa, reiterated Cuba's position of support for the Saharawi people and stressed "the importance of developing and strengthening solidarity with the brotherly Saharawi people".
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the XXV Summit of the African Union held in Johannesburg, South Africa. (SPS)
