Saharawi ambassador holds talks with Zimbabwean officials

Harare, August 6, 2015 (SPS) - Ambassador in Zimbabwe Mr. Deich Mohamed Saleh on Thursday met with the spokesperson of Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front and the minister of Economic Planning and Investment Promotion, Mr. Simon Khaya, at his office in the government complex in Harare.


the two sides examined the best ways to strengthen the relations already binding the African National Union-Patriotic Front and the Frente Polisario.


The Zimbabwean official expressed his country's firm position of support to the just struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence.


He went on saying that ignoring the international community by Moroccan government will increase the suffering of the people of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic.


He also called upon African states to unite efforts so to reaching a prompt end to the occupation of Africa's last colony, by enabling the Saharawi people to exercise their right to freedom and independence.


The Saharawi diplomat, on other hand, met the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe, Professor Levi Martin Nyagura, who expressed readiness to host Saharawi students and staff. (SPS)
